Private Youth Classes
We enjoy having young painters in the studio :) Here are some helpful details in planning your event.
*Classes are appropriate for painters aged 6 and up. If you have younger painters, we can design a simpler project for you. High school-aged painters may choose from more advanced projects.
* All painters do not have to choose the same design, however we can't mix the regular projects with the macrame designs.
Round designs have the option of a stand or a hanger. Please have the design choices to me at least 5 days prior to class.
* We can accommodate up to approximately 16 painters. Please keep in mind that some parents op to stay during a party - it would be difficult to have 16 painters as well as that many adults.
*Cost - Youth parties are a minimum of $100 and includes 6 projects. If you do not have 6, the extra can be packaged as a diy kit to complete at home. Participants over 6 are $15 each. Occasionally we have a design that has an additional fee - that will be noted below in the design listing.
*Availability - class can be held on Saturday mornings or early afternoons. Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons are also possible. Occasionally we have week nights available too. During the summer we can plan a daytime class M-F.
*Most youth classes are 1 1/2 hours in length. Length depends on age, size of the class, and time spent on food, etc.
* Parking is limited. We can easily fit 6 cars, max 8. If having a larger group, you may want to suggest car pooling.
* You are welcome to bring decorations, food, beverages, etc. You will need to provide your own plates, cups, & silverware if needed. Tables will be covered with either our paint drop cloths or paper. We have a small refrigerator/freezer that you may use.
A Typical Class
* kids paint their pieces
* break for food and/or cake (during this time I will dry pieces if necessary and clean up paint)
* kids assemble their project
* break for presents and/or cake while glue dries (during this time I will prep any final details)
*add hangers or final details such as glitter
🎨 Kids projects may be purchased as diy kits to complete at home. Please keep in mind that they contain small pieces and adult supervision is needed. They are not suitable for children under 3. They are $16 each and include all necessary supplies.
